Well said.

It certainly does bring up another issue though. It's funny how when it's the US fighter asked to be the road warrior just how often they show up flat or with their B game. And now all of a sudden they are the guy not getting all the breaks--like they are accustomed. They just never ever seem to be razor sharp and a major reason so many just don't wear the shoes of trying to be the road warrior very often. They seem to almost have to have that home cooking to be at their best.

 

Danny Green did what he had to do but RJJ has been shot for years. Nice video BTW.

 

i've got no sympathy for roy at all. he's gettin some karma right now. he should quit the bull**** he talks inbetween fights. the deluded mother****er was even talkin about fighting haye.

Well said. I think it gets understated how hard it is to be the guy traveling, and those who do it are facing a tougher hill to climb even if the visiting refs and judges are as unbiased as can be expected.

 

From the Australian Daily Telegraph newspaper site, however their journos are renowned for misinterpreting and bending their stories. Very tabloid like paper. That tough talking journo in the video had the gall to talk down Hopkins in an article after the fight. Hopkins hasn't heard of him and couldn't care less, he still thinks this country is in Europe for chrissakes.

 

Great video, Danny Green did what he had to do. Roy was really hurt and would have gone down much worse if the ref did not stop it.

Danny Green get's famous for beating a legend, but a finished one. It's anoying how he analyses his performance talking about a "rare opening in Roy's defense" as if it all went how he planned it out. Anyway what's Roy going to do different if there was a rematch - to ppl who call for one.

 

The moaning thing is a bit over the top, but it may just be honest.

Jones treated many opponents with disrespect and frankly had a rather underwhelming career for one so talented.
