    Give it a rest for **** sake:patsch
Roy turned his head at the last split second when Danny connected just above the temple so im not sure why your bitching.
43 unanswered punches and you still think it was a fluke win:fire

What is it about Green's comments are disrepectful? He did not demean RJJ, he simply stated what happened from his point of view.

I dont get people who say it was a bad stoppage. In boxing, even the am's, youll somtimes see a guy turtle up on the ropes, and take alot of shots some blocked some not. But that always gets stopped if it goes on for too long if your not throwing back. Thats why a trainer will tell you never to turtle up on the ropes, because if you dont throw back, the ref WILL stop it. Its in the rule book.

Hey guys, i wanted roy to win too,(green sucks) but i guess this shows how much he has declined since the days he was beating much better guys then green from pillar to post in the ring:-(

I hope Roy keeps fighting, he makes for some exciting KO footage. From my perspective, Jones was such an arrogant ass for so many years, having his ass kissed by HBO, ESPN, etc., speaking in the 3rd person, belittling his opponents, talking **** about other fighters, I truly enjoy watching him be KOed, over and over and over. Just can't get enough of RJJ getting KOed.

yeah I agree. the more I see it the more I notice he is calm and just saying it as a matter of fact attitude. I would like to see more fighters calmly discuss a fight and watch it like that.

I hope that I never watch or catch a Roy Jones fight again. He is becoming punch drunk, and it is sad to see it happen to a man who saw McClellan become damaged goods from rabbit punches...

Danny Green is a bum, and beating a 40 year old Jones, and saying he deserved it is even more pathetic...

HAHAHAAHA.. All you pissants come on this blog talking down about one of the most gifted fighters of all-time and that's your perrogative...

But stop with the revisionist history. Trying to diminish all those years when Jones Jr. was so easily the best boxer in the game. If you haven't noticed, it seems like the most hatred and venom on this site is reserved for the best fighters of the last few generations. Roy Jones Jr., Floyd Mayweather Jr., and now that Manny is making it big, he's developed more haterz!

You maggots are a plaque. Roy has accomplished more in one year of his life than any of you ever will. 5-10 years after he retires, hopefully then he will be given the respect he has earned from 1989-2004 dominating the sport and even from 2004-2009 as an old warrior who fought on even though he had lost much of his gifts.

No one will remember Danny Green. He is Trevor Berbrick to Muhammad Ali. Kevin McBride to Mike Tyson... and so on..

Green is a *****. A win over a shot champion is just that, no need to be an ahole and rub it in. Screw this guy. I think I'll watch the footage of Toney tearing him up in sparring those years ago.

Bull****. Green it telling it like it is. He's a very respectful man. Before the fight he gave Jones a ton of respect. He even refused to give a prediction on a fight between him and Calzaghe because he didn't want to dishonour Calzaghe's legacy - despite not being a fan of his style

    Grow up, dude.

The fact that Green (who was a super middle at the time) even set foot in the ring with Toney (who was a heavy) and made it competitive was a good effort.

I'm in agreement that the fight doesn't mean much so why are people carrying on about what Green says?

If a man can't enjoy winning by first round knockout in a fight he was expected to lose, what can he enjoy?

    Stupid people will. I won't.

Green has made the most of his abilities:

    - represented his country in a home Olympics at Sydney in 2000,
    - went to Germany as an undefeated unknown & smashed Beyer all over the ring in a fight for the WBC Super Middle title only to be dq'd for a headbutt (after the ref stopped the fight & initially wanted to go to the scorecards),
    - went to Canada and stopped home-town Harry Eric Lucas in the best win of his pro career to claim the interim WBC Super Middle belt,
    - beat Stipe Drews to win the WBA Light Heavy strap,
    - won an IBO Cruiser strap fighting on the other side of the world,
    - beat one of the greatest fighters of all time by first round kayo in a fight he was expected to lose at home in front of 20,000 fans.

I think that's better than what Kevin McBride managed.
