Just read on fightnews.com that Current WBA Light heavyweight champion Danny Green is set to retire after deciding he wants to immediatley hang up his gloves. He is expected to announce his decision tomorrow.

wow...its pretty rare to see fighters retire once they get a belt...considering he has some attractive big-money options in his weight class.

I was wondering what the reason would be because it's not often ou get someone retire just like that when they've just become world champ and their biggest pay days are ahead.

Maybe he wants to go out on top - it's strange but I'll guess we'll find out when the announcement is made.

At 35? C'mon. I just hope it's through choice, not health reasons.

That's what I'm thinking, he's spoken about big plans after getting the strap, I just hope nothing bad has come about.

Isn't it obvious, teke? He is scared of Choc so much that the very thought that he might have to face him again one day is driving him up the walls!:D

It sounds like Mundine/ Soliman 4, when Greene is out of the picture.

Soliman is too dangerous an opponent to be fought back-to-back. Maybe in a couple of years, after the next one!:think

Says the guy hyping Andrade like he's an elite fighter, so when Bute outpoints him it's seen as a massive achievment.:yep

    Erm...reality check, boyo...

I started a thread yesterday precisely to get back at posters like Amsterdam who were hyping and overrating Andrade like mad, to make Kessler look better, and thus, Calzaghe look better:

And...yeah...I was also the guy who said I thought Choc would have a better chance against Bute than against Andrade:
