:good You know...I should probably stop posting for today; I'm getting into a lot of arguments with people - seems I have a short fuse today!atsch :conf
i have a theory about the retirement but dare not say it just yet, a tonne of **** will fall down on me. Will leave it for another day
Who's in a ***** of a mood.:think I think you're right, go get some fresh air...or look at a Lucian poster on the wall or something.
Thanks, mate! I'll take your advice!:good I've removed my comment; I'd be grateful if you removed that quote as well, so there's no sign of it...:good
the article says he wants to spend more time with his family. of course loads of people will be saying that he should fight so and so and look for this and that kind of payday, but really it's exactly that sort of reasoning that always keeps fighters going on for too long. so if green sticks by this, i applaud him for his strength of character.
The articke I read said that he's retiring because he wants to go out on top and not because of health reasons as he's in the best shape of his life. A bit of a ***** way to go out imo. Could have waited a few weeks till after his fight with Garay.
Bizarre. There must be a legit reason. Why retire straight after a title winning performance, surely the big money is only just beginning...
He has lost a battle with an old injury which is causing his shoulder to dislocate. A real shame for Danny after he finally won a belt and the chance of some big money fights.
I'll wager that this whole retirement issue with green was inspired by paul briggs who was seriously going to retire because of family influence. However, he said the only thing that would keep him from that was if a fight b/n him and green could be made. The fact that all the other lightheavy's that mean anything are all busy fighting one another and then will be fighting the winners of those contests means green is left with erdei who doesn't want any. For that reason, maybe green doesn't see a need to fight on. Unless briggs challenged him for his WBA title. And if that fight gets made.................. :happy :happy :happy :happy
Guys was bound to lose first time he faced a decent contender so why not go out on top unless you are from Australia, I dont think anyone ever believed this guy was ever that good anyway, I mean he lost to Mundine for heavens sake.
Hey dickhead. talking **** about a well regarded fighter right after he announced his sudden retirement isn't going to bode well on this forum. And at lightheavy(his natural weight) he was damn good. Nobody said he was an ATG. *******!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :fire
