Some of the hate is ridiculous, Green was coming off 2 devastating KO loss's, who was he supposed to fight? No doubt he will have one last big fight before he retires.

Out of curiosity do you guys think Blake Capparello would give Green a decent fight?

 

Why was it his last fight in Perth? to sell more tickets or true story and if true story then why? whats the motive behind not fighting in perth again?

im actually quite confused by it also, theres a new stadium going to be opening up here soon and i thought he would have liked to have a fight in there when it eventually does open. The only reason i can see is that he is going to go overseas or over east and have a crack at a title

Danny Green chose a limited opponent because he needed a hit-out and a win following the two losses. Santiago did his best but was simply outclassed and outgunned. Time to move on to a better opponent and perhaps another title shot. Green is talking WBA and Beibut Shumenov.

 

The last time Danny made LHW limit was in 2007 against Drews, that was 5 yrs ago.

Santiago was bought out here to Make Danny look good at so called LHW even though it was 5kg above the LHW limit, Santiagos last fight was 12 months ago at LHW. A win for Green but it will do nothing for him other than build up some confidence, he wont step it up because if he does he will get fcked up again like he did at CW. Either way he said himself he cant make LHW and wont make LHW no matter what the offer is.

So either Dannys a liar or its just a pipe Dream like Mundine fighting Floyd. You cant have your cake and eat it to.

 

A very limited opponent that was ripe for the picking as he kept coming forward. Green will always win fights like this as he loves a fighter that stands in front of him and allows him to work his angles and use his power. Santiago was **** scarred about getting it the guts, after he took the left to the ribs he wanted to take his money and run back to NY as quick as possible.
The Cronje V Siale fight was by far the best of the night. It has been a long time since I have seen a bloke so out on his feet but continually came forward like Siale did. A credit to both fighters. Somebody really needs to get into Cronje's ear though and get him to use the massive reach advantage he would have over most CW opponents. He wanted to brawl when he could have picked off Siale everytime he came forward.
