I was actually surprised Tarver beat Aguilera in his last fight, wich says enough how I rate him nowadays.

Green is going to win this, and I actually expect him to stop Tarver.
For the guys who have Antonio by stoppage in this bout, fat chance.
He did only stop one guy after the legendary Jones bout, and that was a guy who got stopped in all his losses. (10% KO percentage in last 10 fights)

Do Australians allow their fighters to fight anyone under 35?

I hope Tarver wins since in his prime this would of been a walkover.

I think Green will surprise a few people with his ability. I know alot of casual boxing fans (which are probably 90% of his fan base) did not like his technical strategy against Flores, but he did a good job countering, setting up traps and using controlled agression. I don't expect him to revert to the crash and bang style of his SMW days especially with a big strong opponent known for a good defese.

Green UD/MD. Fairly close, no knockdowns, and I'm thinking Green wins by 2 or 3 rounds.

Let me put on my Dwyer shell defense and explain to you why you should put some quid down on Danny Green.

Fact 1: Danny Green has a pretty good beard. Never been stopped
Fact 2: Tarver has decent power at best at LHW ... nothing of note in higher divisions
Fact 3: Tarver's only chance of winning is likely by decision. Which leads me to...
Fact 4: Hometown fighter advantage. Tarver would have to win every second of every round to even consider getting the nod in Australia. At 42 years of age Tarver won't have the stamina or the workrate to do this.

Easy money on a Green victory.

This is a somewhat interesting fight even with the guys ages. I like Tarver in this match up, he's simply a better fighter than Green. However, a couple things make this interesting-1 Tarver's age, he looked like he has something left his last fight but he's still 42. 2 The weight, Tarver has to lose a lot of weight for this and that could effect his performance. 3 Fighting in Australia, I'd think anything close goes to Green.

Still, Green is no young fighter either and Tarver is a level above him so I'd pick Tarver to win a decision. I don't think we get fight of the year here but I do think its a somewhat entertaining and competitive fight. Tarver by decision.

Tarvers had 3 months to drop the weight and he isnt being forced to make Dannyweight, its the 200LB limit so he should be fine. Fighting in Australia? whats the problem, its not germany lol , the judges are fair he gets just as much of a fair go here as he would in USA.

Kessler defeated Mundine in Mundines own backyard all by way of judges scorecard so that theory just doesnt fit otherwise all Aussies would win by decision in Australia.

Ive thrown a couple hundred on Tarver, the odds are paying 4.50 to the dollar, Dannys slow and not a talented boxer, Tarver has the skills all he has to do is put them to work and its money in the bag. Of course it also depends on which Tarver shows up tommorow night, i think Tarvers got alot to loose on this one and is doing all he can to ensure he returns home with the IBO belt tucked firmly under his arm.

If the referee had not stopped the Jones fight Jones would have been badly hurt.

Has anyone else noticed that Tarver is taller, is also larger in every other measurement, but Green weighs the same. WTF is going on there. I remember meeting green a couple of times and he looked very lean and lighter than he is. The guys bones or muscle must be dense as ****.
