     Wow.

Holy ****, that would rule. It would be massive in Poland, right? Couldn't that fight potentially sell out any venue in the country?

    Chris John has weird stamina.

It's tremendous through 9 or 10 rounds - with nary a sweat broken, moment of involuntary oral inhalation, or skipping a beat in his boxing rhythm.

Then he starts unraveling in the 11th and 12th, slowing down, heaving, and getting hit a lot. EVERY TIME. To an extent against Marquez (more in the 12th), twice against Juarez, against Yordan, now against Merdov. Chris John in a 12 rounder is always dramatic toward the end.

Usually when you tag someone as having "bad" stamina you think of pure front-runners like Judah who are only good for 4 or 5 rounds, or guys who fade about midway through the championship distance and visibly diminish by the 7th or 8th...

John is a total enigma. Brilliant for about ten rounds. Past that, a punching bag. Every time. :? It's like he has exactly thirty minutes of perfect boxing in him and then his carriage turns into a pumpkin.

He's probably not in the camp that wishes to hearken back to the days of 15 rounders. In fact, he'd be a sow rooting in **** if they allowed world titles to be contested over ten.

    Ingenious thing about the KO:

All night Wlodarczyk lulled Green into thinking the left hand was harmless. Pawed jabs for most of the first half, almost no hooks, and (and here's the bait) ALWAYS threatening with the right. It was his main weapon, to the point where you could almost say Wlodarczyk was a one-handed fighter through most of ten rounds.

Then he spies Green leaned back on the ropes in perfect range for a big hook and with arms half-raised dead center in front of himself anticipating a right hand attack, and KA-POW!

    From the Aussie forum:

Had Wlod not yanked that left hook out of his back pocket, he'd have been screwed. :-(

He'd fought to a 95-95 draw on my card through ten and clearly had the momentum, and was in full Operation Shock-and-awe intimidation mode. There's no way Green was winning the 11th or 12th. So Wlodarczyk would have deserved 115-113 but given those cards EVEN IF THEY GAVE HIM the championship rounds (which they might not have, against all reason) he'd have still lost a unanimous decision of 115-113, 115-113, 114-113. More likely they would have swung them to Green just to "make sure" and Wlodarzcyk would have gone down in history as succumbing to Green by scores of 117-111, 117-111, and 116-111.

US trains probably move faster than ours IB :yep
That's what I had calculated in my Green UD pick... I didn't expect he had the power to stop Danny, so UD for Green

Adamek-Wlod. Can you imagine how much of a superfight that would be in Poland?

From Boxrec at time of stoppage:

All for Danny Green at stoppage. So Wlod dodged a bullet there!

Wlod won this one with his power and chin but looked terrible again. Before this he lost nearly every round to Palacios (barely a top 15 cruiser) and got a gift in Poland....... I don't think there's anything to get excited about here folks.

    Why not?

Danny Green is a top 12 Crusier ( Around )

Close until KO, Green slightly ahead.

    Good KO by Wlod.

He didn't look great but way better then before.
