On one of the judges cards if Merdov avoided the knockdown and won 1 more round, it would have been a draw on his card.:shock:

I had it 94-96 Wlodarczyk up to round 10. A few rounds could have gone either way so wouldn't argue 94-96 Green.

Green looked like he gassed from round 6, and Wlod adjusted pretty well to the short left hook green was landing early on (looked like the same jab, step back, short left gameplan from BJ Flores was in effect). Idiot Main event commentators were saying how Green was on to an easy win and constantly replaying only Green's best punches in between rounds. Did they ever ask themselves why Green's face was getting bruised and blooded after each round or were they completely fixated on Green's punches. Which by the end was really only the jab.

Btw good win John. Disappointed he didn't get the KO, but bring on John v Dibb in 2012.

Edit: Lol at the commercial with Adamek, he looks like a welterweight. He should seriously move down to fight Diablo; he would still be the smaller guy. That would be a good fight.

 

Wlodarczyk confirmed that he is serious puncher at CW. I thought that Green would melt after he hit the deck. Danny fought well, good jab, crowded Diablo when he was in trouble, constantly kept him off his rhythm. Green led comfortably on my card till the stoppage.

He announced that he is done as a profesional fighter. Hope he stays inactive, I really enjoyed his career and liked him. Wish all the best for him.

 

I agree Green fought extremely well exept only up to round 5-6. He looked like he gassed and Wlodarcyzk adjusted and began to impose himself on Green. I don't know if I was completely sold on Wlod's performance. He did well not getting hit with the short hooks, but still had trouble passing Green's jab. He wasn't terribly active either but he did catch Green with some good clean shots which went unnoticed by Mainevent boxing.

 

What a great KO by Wlodarczyk! Despite the fact that he had some personal issues, I see he is right back in the game.
