People seem to forget this about Tarver.

When was the last time he looked class in a fight ? Certainly more than 5 years ago at least.

He was a semi retired boxer of 41/42 yrs old.

His last performances against elite level fighters he lost very very easily. (Bhop + Dawson).

With all this he ****in humiliated Danny. Danny ain't ****.

Tarver the commentator/part time boxer sure did look shot to **** in his recent fights...obviously not shot to **** enough for Green.

 

Wlod will punch **** handles out of Green & give him another stoppage loss. Once again team Green have underestimated their opponent.

 

Ty is just full of hate for Green - for some reason. Tarver is a big name who has done alot in boxing. For DG is was no shame to lose, and I agree with him that is takes a man to man up when you lose. If you are fighting name fighters you are not always going to win. DG just tells it like is. He puts on a show and is a champion bloke. Like he said too about haters, they are just people who not got what they want in life or otherwise. I just don't get being a hater, what is with that?

What is Geale making it? Does that mean say fighting a Martinez and beating him, then defending/unify on Showtime/HBO is the US, ala Kostya Tszyu? Sounds good, buit Geale lacks the fighting style, and mystic that creates chasima(sp) that Tszyu had.

Agree with Sox about the ATG bullsh1t. Mundine crapped on for years about that. Most of it he believed I think. Back in various stages of 2001-2007 he could get away with it as a form of hype. But since the problems of contact/eye, torn biceps and messed up hip all in 2008, he has been pretty shot. It seemed this is when the concept of 'The Poineer'came about. It is as much marketing as it is sporting. But if Mundine goes anywhere near ATG (Australian or otherwise) he is talking rubbish.

But Choc went down a bad route. I can take the talk and hype, but there were some bad choices post Soliman II. Sure the injuries were there, but even so he could have taken a leaf outta Greens book. Get Ottke out of retirement and bring him to OZ. Bring Sugar Shane Mosley to Oz - if Mundine lost its not big deal, life goes on. Surely the profit/loss would be not much different than fighting all those South American imports.

But mate you just gotta see it for what it is. DG just sells it mate. Sure there are some inconsistencies but thats just how it rolls. DG never said he was an ATG. He won a world title all be it IBO, a big promo tool for him as a self promoted fighter when bringing big names to Aus. I just don't see WTF he has done wrong.

 

I actually thought Tarver looked good in his heavyweight fight and I thought Green handled himself pretty well in that video interview with Hyder... Apart from the nonsense about the people criticising him not having the balls to do what he's done, he sounded like a ****ing spastic spouting that old line. Reminds me of that **** who used to post on here, Shiner.

 

I hope you're right but think you're wrong. Team Green know exactly what they're getting with the Pole.
