    Looks like a dive.

But can someone please tell me what Green did wrong in there?
Lot of people bashing him and i don't know why.
    Thanks.

People don't realize what a stiff jab smashed on forehead can do... Briggs realized it and wouldn't get back up even it would be for a 25 seconds count. However, I agree with that this guy shouldn't have given a shot in that neurological condition. Very dangerous stuff.

people are bashing green because in australia he poses for pictures with his 'belt' slung over his shoulder but then keeps fighting old, retired and punch drunk fighters.

briggs was embarrassing but what green is doing milking the australian public isn't far behind.

Did that jab even land?

Green's interview at the end looked really scripted as well.

You mean other than defending a cruiserweighttitle at a catchweight 15 pounds under the actual cruiserweight limit?

Other than taking on the likes of a shot Jones, a shot Siaca, and a shot/inactive/medically unfit to box Briggs and claiming himself as a top cruiserweight and accusing Hopkins of "ducking" him?

Other than throwing a tantrum over Briggs bucking his catchweight and promising to administer a severe beating to punish a man with a bad neurological condition that was widely documented in his country?

Other than turning down Shane Cameron's offer to fight him right then and there to give the fans their money's worth - AFTER CAMERON HAD JUST FOUGHT TEN ROUNDS ON THE UNDERCARD - and saying "No thanks, I'm not in the mood"?

    Green's a **** of the highest order.

Briggs was apparently rushed to the hospital following the theatrics. :!:

This whole mess is worse than Cintron vs. Williams.

We think we have it bad in American boxing...:-(

Briggs is ****ed up neurologically. Totally. He's struggling mentally as well at the moment too apparently.

The New South Wales Boxing Commission refused to sanction the fight due to Briggs condition. And they're pretty ****ing lenient who they let fight most of the time.

green should not be blamed at all.

its the dumb pricks that pay to watch him fight in one-sided fights that r to blame.

if the dumb *******s stop handing over their $50, then green will be forced to fight better opponents.

it is very simple u know.

    Sad ****.

Briggs has been a warrior for most of his life. From Muay Thai to his wars with Adamek. I'm not sure if it was even a dive or if his health is that messed up.

A lot of people in the Aussie forums were asking why Briggs wouldn't take at least a tune up fight after over 3 years out of the ring. Well now we know the reasons. Briggs needed a payday and should have known not to damage his legacy like that. And Green should have definitely known better as well. Green is definitely more to blame IMO...he's been feasting on has beens and making a mint. Farcical....I'm glad I didn't stay up t watch it when it was on.

Meh. You're just bullshitting because@ the start of this thread you said said Briggs was serious about winning and was playing mind games with Green.

You guessed wrong just suck it up, take it like a man and quit ragging on Green.

    What?? :lol::lol::lol:

I'm just bullshitting? I was ragging on Green about the catch weight issue before the fight.

As to being wrong about Briggs being serious about winning - yes, obviously I was wrong about that. So? He was clearly not serious at all. Where did you see me or anyone else claiming that we weren't wrong about that? What exactly is your point? The one thing has nothing to do with the other.

Nothing you've said refutes any of the valid points in the post you quoted.

if the people r docile enough to pay to watch these **** fights, then they have no right to whinge. briggs was gunna get ko'd in the first 3 rounds whether he took a dive or not. so if anyone paid to watch this rubbish then they can stfu. they only have themselves to blame.

None of us outside Australia could have paid even if we wanted to (and no way was this a legitimate PPV...the card was no better than Tua-Barrett), since it wasn't shown. The rest of us had to wait for it to be on Youtube.
