I will start out by saying I'm a huge Jacobs fan, I think he represents everything that is great about boxing. He's respectful, he's never in trouble, he's got an elite skill set, and he'll fight anybody. And of course his amazing comeback story. Now, I thought he has looked pretty good his last 3 times out. Danny thoroughly out boxed Arias. Granted he didn't get the finish, but like someone already said, Arias was in survival mode the whole fight. He had a comfortable win vs Sulecki, who is a quality operator and a tough dude. He didn't finish the fight too strong vs D-chenko, but he is world class too and Danny definitely won. I thought 115-112 was a accurate score. Any time you can beat a quality top 5 or 10 guy, is a great win. No finishes lately, but I don't think there is any doubt that Danny can really crack. I can't wait for the Canelo fight, it's gonna be close and it's gonna be high level stuff. Danny does have a tendency to lunge in a little too much and Canelo is a great counter puncher, so that worries me a little. But, all in all, I feel good about Danny's chances. War Jacobs!!!
Danny gets credit for coming back and trying after being constantly beaten at title level. He reminds me of STuart Hall, another man who was often beaten but never gave up and eventually won it.
its not constant though is it, Pirog was years ago so you really have only GGG..What he really gets credit for is coming back after Cancer, nothing else !
that is true about cancer but theres no denying he took three attempts to win a title, a vacant one at that with barely the win. Cancer was his best win for sure. It'd be anyones best to be fair. Actually I was wrogn about stuart hall he did better than Jacobs because he won a title AT FIRST attempt , not third.
