Cool, I hope that you are right. This could turn out to be a great fight.

I thought it was impressive when I first read it, but upon further inspection...

Khurtsdize has been a pro for 14 years, he's been in with ONE contender (N'dam, champion, who beat him). Douglas is a prospect not a contender. He also has a lot of MD's and TDs on his record against fringe contenders. They both live in Brooklyn so they have probably sparred before.

Derevyanchenko is a prospect. Wouldn't call him a contender yet. I think he's a little overhyped from being on the Ukraine national team, and from beating up an old man in his last fight. He's good, but 31 and not near a title shot yet, and 20 or so AAA fights lets you know he's no Lomachenko.

Khytov is the best of the three in my opinion, he's a contender. He's probably the one of the three who could possibly beat Jacobs in a real match, but his fights with the Minnesota clubfighter types he's been fighting have not been as one-sided as you'd think. He's not a GGG.

I think Derevyanchenko is the best of the bunch, Khurtsidze is overrated(wouldn't put him on my top10 MW list) and Khytrov is like Lemieux with better amateur experience.

Khurtsidze would spark Quillin as well.

Why do think Quillin was so afraid of Korobov.

Most of the American fighters anymore look at the rest of the field and if they don't see a stiff robot or a glass jaw, they hide like hell behind their promoter, network etc.

Pretty much how I see it too except Khytrov has a better chin than Lemieux, and a higher upside I think

Not sure about Khytrov's chin. Has he been hit by someone like a prime Rubio?

I actually agree, though not completely.
I like the idea of Khurtsidze, who Jacobs could use to work off the back foot some since AK doesnt take a step back, but as for Khyrtov and Derevychenko.....just gonna end up gettign outboxed, countered and KOed over and over again since both those guy throw straight counters and will hit him up the middle.

He should look to get chinny sparring partners like Brian Rose and Daniel Dawson to he can bully them himself, and hope that working with Khurtsizde helps him off the back foot when GGG is boxing him, and the others to make him believe he's an unstoppable beast and go at GGG like he was abducting one of his children.

Im sure his chin is fine, but Lemiuex was never hurt by Rubio, which begs the question as to where mr 5K gets the idea that Khyrtovs is sturdier.
Guess he missed the first 24 minutes of action in the Rubio Lemiuex fight and only saw his team throw in the towel after he'd gassed.

    GGG wants rds....

What help does GGG get KOing the man, then following the ambulance to the ER, sitting through all those MRIs, CT, and EEGS, then watching the DRs drilling in chikkensons brain to keep him alive.

He's preparing for a boxing match, not to become a brain surgeon.

Pirogs not a featherfist by any means, but he's not even CLOSE to GGGs level in terms of power.

I wouldnt consider Pirog more of puncher than Sturm is.

I think all three actually train with Rozier out of Brooklyn already, so it's not like he's getting them in specially. Chances are Danny's sparred with them already. That's not a bad crew right there, though.

    I agree with TheAnatolian.
Derevyanchenko was also 23-1 at WSB and to me always seemed like the more technical version of Canelo. It remains to be seen if he can have the same success in the pros, and if he doesn't gas out.
