It looks like Danny is back, and Geale needs to fight for relevancy after losing to Barker. If Geale could handle Danny's power, I think this makes for a good scrap.
I love Jacobs. But i think he was being outboxed by Lorenzo for the brief amount of time they fought. He was not impressive to me. I knew he had excellent power but Geale isn't going to be taken out in such a fashion. It will be a tough 12 round fight for Danny.
Solid fight. As a New York City boy I back Jacobs 100%,but this would be a tough out for Jacobs.Geale well skilled and busy.50-50 fight.
:blood He was up 2 rounds pretty clearly. Were you suckered in by Lorenzo mugging and laughing as he walked through jabs to get in Jacobs' head? Lorenzo barely landed anything. He started to connect a bit in the 3rd when he went for it, but he paid the price for it.
No draw option? :yep It's that close a call. So is Barker vs. Jacobs, for that matter. Anyway, it's all moot because I think Jacobs is hoping to hit the Martinez sweepstakes, being that he ingratiated himself with the WBC competing for a minor title of theirs last night.
I'd pick Jacobs over Geale, Geale is active but doesn't hold the power needed to keep Danny off of him, and he fires some wild shots that Danny would counter.
Martinez is with DiBella. He is fight to fight, not contracted to a network (I believe) You're getting confused with the situation with Golden Boy and Top Rank boxers, who currently appear exclusively on Showtime or HBO respectively. Those guys are locked in, off limits from each other. It's more a "GBP and TR don't mix" issue...other smaller promoters don't have those battle lines drawn. Edit: Maravilla does actually have short-term contracts with HBO. He renewed after Chavez for three more dates; Murray was 1 of 3.
You do not love Jacobs....stop that right now. A fight ends in a highlight 3rd round Ko and you say he was getting outboxed:rofl Jacobs would KO Gaele(or Barker) faster than he did Lorenzo.
Geale and Barker are not very good boxers....or anything. They are both rather sloppy and WEAK... Hard to believe that was a title fight...Geale and Barker looked like they were pulled from the seats 5 minutes before the bell.
