I think Plant is good fighter, but Jacobs is too much. Actually, Jacobs is probably the best fighter at 168 pounds. Plant would get knocked out and Jacobs would really land some hard brutal shots that hurt. Plant has talked a lot of trash about Jacobs, but he might want to watch himself when talking about a much more proven fighter.
Jacobs hasn't done anything at 168 to be considered the best fighter, but I do think he'd beat Plant.
I mean H2H he's the best fighter at the weight. He's tall and has the power to carry it up in weight.
I don't think he's a load of hype. He's arguably the p4p fastest fighter in the sport. But Jacobs has too much power and Plant has stamina and durability concerns.
You get hype jobs with speed. In fact, most of them are. Plant is a guy who IMO is slick but with little substance. When he steps up his competition, he will lose spectacularly. Which is a shame, coz I really like the guy.
Was, but isn't anymore. Plus I think Plant is faster than him compared to his opposition at this point.
He's better than I thought he was but I agree with you, he's an alphabet title holder, keeping the belt warm. He'll lose against an 'elite' opponent. To be more specific, Benavidez or Callum Smith, I think would beat him.
