Let's say a prime Danny Lopez steps up in weight to take on a prime Cornelius Boza Edwards, aside from the fans, who wins?

    15 rounds with a 70s ruleset.

Lopez catches him at some point and stops him. Boza likes to brawl too much and that will be his unduing in a fight he was winning up to that point.

Would be my pick too. Lopez had incredible power, will and stamina. I think he’d have been just as good at 130.

Hard to know how Lopez would have handled the weight jump and whether that would have affected his power at all. Four pounds doesn’t sound a lot but can make a difference at this weight.

Boza was generally pretty durable at 130 and he moved up comfortably to 135 and didn’t lose much in the way of strength. I’m going with Boza, although Lopez will definitely have his moments.

Boza-Edwards was really wide on his attack but had decent timing. I still say that Garcia has the advantage here with timing and straight shooting.

Boza wins a war. He's too big for Lopez.

I was impressed how a somewhat green Boza battled Arguello fairly competively, and, although stopped on his stool, was never dropped. And this was at 135 lbs. Arguello had all the strenghths of Lopez, but better defense.

Boza could throw some hellacious straight lefts. He landed some on Arguello and dropped the iron chined Limon with one.

This is a top 3 fantasy fight with me, along with Johnson vs Durrele & Yaegashi vs Arce, so obviously I think this would be a vicious war.

These guys would come out throwing high amounts of shots, with both guys being hit, lots. Both guys would end up hurt, and probably down, but Boza's superior movement and jab would probably have him winning close rounds. His angles and southpaw stance would trouble Danny on a technical level, by stopping Lopez from landing as easily and letting his left hand catching Lopez. His size would also show Danny issues when they inevitably get in close.

Lopez's harder shots would have Boza slowly breaking down and less effective imo, Little Red's right hand would catch Corni alot and hurt Boza enough for Danny to get a finish. Something straight outta Rocky movie!

    Lopez, come-behind KO, circa 13/14.

Lopez have no problem carrying the extra 4 pounds and Boza was ko
by Navarette and Lopez much heavy hitter. Lopez stops Boza after
    seven furious rds .
