    Danny doesen't go down in this one, but he does show his punching power. That right hand was dangerous even early on, though he's mostly known for his toughness and late rounds power.

    I watch Lopez fight and sometimes wonder how he got as far as he did.

    He was slow of hand and foot, to call his defense "leaky" is being kind, his chin could be touchy, he had power really only in his right hand, didn't bodypunch all that much, didn't box terribly well.........

    Make no mistake, I love the guy. One of my very favorites. Maybe because it's fascinating to see how a guy can get to such a level in history while having so few really great tools.

    The word you're looking for is magic sir. Danny Lopez was magic like a woodland elf or a pookah. All he needed was that right hand and a heart that would have been oversized in an elephants chest.
