Danny Oscar Garcia, is he closing in on ATG status? Discuss. HOF for sure, but ATG?

The list of currently active guys who are HOF quality is about 10 names ling and Danny aint one of them, had a good start at 140 but has tapered off since Matthysse, Peterson & Guerrero were good wins but tlongs really it since then.
Only guys who are sure fire or potentially HOF right now are Cotto, Pacman, Wlad, & Donaire at the top, guys like Bradley, Gonzalaz, Huck are mid tier that's about it really.

It's guys who if they get 3-4 more good wins or 1-2 great wins I'd put them in that mid tier like Ward, Alvarez,Crawford, etc but IMO HOFer and ATG is used to loosely nowadays 75% of the guys called HOFers nowadays are no where near 1 or 2 wins doesn't make you a HOFer or an ATG it takes depth and consistancy at the highest level.

How can a guy who admits he rather face a Salka every time for a pay day rather than face someone of note be a hall of fame contender?

 

Danny has fell off big time. In fact Haymons most popular guys have all went into some sort of mental breakdown since Mayweather retired. The only 2 guys working are Spence and Porter. Thurman, Khan, Garcia, and Broner have been acting like they had $25 million dollar paydays. Khan getting beat up by Canelo don't count either. If it was not for that he would still be sitting around calling out a retired fighter like an obsessed girlfriend. Broner seems to like jail more than boxing, Thurman is converting to Buddhism or some hippie mess, and Danny wants to be the greatest barber in Philly because that's all he has been doing.

 

Herrera beat the crap out of Garcia, so no, he does not deserve to be ATG, nowhere near it................Garcia will not fight anyone now, wonder if he has been talking to Wilder?

 

He had questionable wins against Peterson and Herrera... He is not that good.

 

Garcia is the definition of what's wrong with boxing today. Past boxing greats would take on challenges and not ***** about money but Garcia goes in the opposite direction, wants most money possible to fight weakest guy possible. He's hanging onto that belt for dear life.

I'm curious what he will do if he has to face a dangerous mandatory. Vacate like a *****, my guess and his excuse why the fight won't happen is cuz of money.

I think the street kid from Philly has got rich and the hunger has gone.

2012 and 2013 were his best years, since then he's not really impressed. I think the Matthysse fight took a bit out of him as well, took a fair bit out of both guys tbh.

 

no chance he gets in to the HOF if he retired today, the only HOF'er he has beat is Morales and he was old and way past it at 140. Guerrero, Paulie, Peterson, khan, Judah and Matthysse who have had good achievements but none of them are greats and none have or will go on to do anything special, then there's the case of Herrera..........danny boy lost his remaining street cred that night! he needs to do way more imo to get in to the HOF
