Danny Swift Garcia in talks of fighting Mauricio Herrera in March return.

Know nothing about Mauricio Herrera... ha slost ot kareem mayfield and alvarado... looks like danny is taking a breather?

 

its a good fight for danny after the lucas fight. but herrera isnt no slouch. he beat provo!!

 

Herrera is a decent fighter but not a Top 10 Light Welter and shouldn't be getting a fight against the Ring champion and Number 1 Garcia.

Viktor Postol should be getting this fight and i'd even prefer Hank Lundy over Herrera.

Herrera is a good fighter and not a creampuff defense, but it will still end in a brutal KO by Garcia.

He'll try the entire way but Herrera is badly outgunned in terms of punching power and Garcia is the far better boxer. As stay-busy fights go though, it's a decent one, Herrera will definitely go rounds and make Garcia work for it in an action affair.

He will take some getting rid of but I'm pretty sure Garcia will be the first to do it. Herrera has stood up to flush power shots from Alvarado, Provodnikov, Anchondo, Mayfield, Kim, and Dallas and just gritted his teeth and kept working - but he simply can't get away with being that hittable over the championship distance with Garcia...and he lacks the pop himself to keep him off and won't have a counter to put Danny's wide hooks in check.

 

It's not a decent one...are we just handing out Title shots to fighters now just because they 'bring it' despite not having the skills to compete at the highest level.

Herrera isn't even a Top 15 Light Welter and has has lost twice recently the two times he stepped up against Alvarado and Mayfield.

Garcia is the RING CHAMPION, i expect him to at least face someone in the Top 10.
