Danny 'Swift' Garcia is THE man at 140 lbs

Ive been a fan of Garcia long before the Khan bout. When that fight got made i was shocked. I posted on BN24 how he was going to get done in.

 

I'm right there with you guys, Knew Danny was gonna whip Khan's ass. Said as much in the build up to the fight, put a boatload of money on Danny and won a boatload on Danny. Khan is mostly speed and flash, knew a determined Danny would eventually catch his ass, and light it up sooner or later. Just happened to happen sooner :rofl

 

i actually picked morales against miadana. skill will beat a crude punc.
Matthyse is no miadana he faints really well. Throws shots around the gloves. Picks off shots with good upper body movement an his gloves. Also he cuts the ring off very well. Hes technically very good as a pressure fighter.

 

I accidently tricked myself into becoming a fan as I was relentlessly spamming the board about DANI ktfo Amir to troll his fans.

 

I agree with this. Matthysse has a much better skillset than people are giving him credit for, it's just that his power is the talking point. Last night he had great punch variety and placement against Ajose, and just beat the living **** out of him.

See I don't get this. What levels? Other people talking about Garcia has power equal to Matthysse and is unbeatable @ 140, etc...

Dude is 23 and 0 with 14 KOs feasting on guys that are waaayy past their best when he gets a fight w/Khan and catches him being stupid (which is nothing new) and makes him pay for it as a young up and comer should.

I'm not sayin' the guy isn't any good, but I just don't see where the hype is coming from.

Matthysse has a better case as his heavy hands are proven to be no mirage. Guy hits really hard and should have beat Devon which is a very solid performance at 140.

Still he looks slow and clumsy to me. A top tier boxer is gonna' outpoint him as well.

 

I should have been more clear with my statement about people laughin. My bad. I was talkim on my phone an i hate writing from it but i got a friend that has a webdite. Bleachereport boxing an i was tellin him about the kid there an he laughed at my face when i said he would be the face of the 140 lb division. Basically all i was saying is im far from hating on the kid but if he cant hurt his oppenent then he cant beat em. No diffrence with this fight. I dont think matthyse will give him the chance to set his feet an land a big shot. Too much pressure will cause him to back pedal an get completely dominated imo

 

I dont get why Lucas gets more credit when Garcia beat better opposition.
