Danny looked sensational last night. The KO of Granados was very impressive. Granados took Broner and Porter deep. But Keith is undefeated and has the best resume at welterweight aside from Pac.
Neither, I'd prefer it for Manny to retire. Either that, or keep fightting mid level guys. While I think he could beat Danny and Thurman, neither would be easy work, and Manny is too old to take a ton of punishment, he doesn't need it at this stage. It's not worth it, he's already a Hall Of Famer and an ATG, what's the point?
The man is still operating at a top level. He's not the type to take hellacious punishment and stumble all over the ring and get stopped on his feet. You gotta put him down with a perfect shot. He truly loves fighting and misses it when he's away from the ring too long. Only person I don't want him to fight is Crawford. I think he beats Danny, Keith, and has a good chance of beating Spence.
Well unfortunately for Manny, Danny and Keith are skilled enough to land several perfect shots, and follow up once they've hurt him. You can't assume the Keith from the Lopez fight shows up, Guerrero was on the verge of being stopped by Aron Martinez, then came out and arguably drew with Garcia in his next outing. Yes, Manny can beat them all, but what if he doesn't? Won't you be devastated? Especially if he loses by KO.
Pac should stay away from both of them. Danny looked dangerous last night, i could see that crispy left hook putting Manny to bed.
I could see Manny beating both, but I only see one of them really hurting Manny and that's Danny. Those counter could really hurt him. Manny runs Thurman over. He should take Thurman.
I know Keith's last fight was his first in a couple of years but he looked terrible. All his technical vulnerabilities were on display. He was backing straight back when he got caught and his guard didn't look difficult to punch through. That said he won clearly but that was against Lopez and he did get rocked. The Keith that fought Lopez would be a wide UD12 for Pac. I'm not saying Keith can't improve but I get the feeling he'll never get back to where he was. Keith vs Brooke would be pretty even at this stage and Brooke is shot. Garcia looked great last night but he's pretty inconsistent and his work rate can be low. I think he can catch Pac with clean shots and counters but Manny's good at feinting his opponent into throwing and countering that. Pac's last 2 wins were easy and he beat the daylights out of Horn but he looks kinda fragile or something to me. I think he was happy that Broner didn't want to engage at times and was besides a couple of rounds was happy to coast to the UD. I don't think Pac sustains the pressure like he was able to even 2 years ago and I'd hate to see him get hurt at this stage but I'd also love to see him steal a major belt one last time.
