the thing is he totally destroyed all 3 of those fighters. He beat them like a Champion should. Peter has gone to Decisions with fighters much worse than those you listed yet people here claim he is some KO machine. Fact is, Peter has KOed 1 decent fighter in Maskaev who has a Glass Jaw and even then Maskaev was stopped on his feet.

No he didn't. Everyone says this but it's completely false. He had fast hands a nice pop in his punches that's all. He had bad form, bad balence, shakey chin and a leaky defence.

    Not really a "could've been".

How did Chris Byrd illegally cause him to tear his rotator cuff???

Oh and ANDREW "THE KING OF QUITS" GOLOTA fought Chris Byrd with a torn rotator cuff and did he quit??? James Toney fought with a torn bicep muscule he never quit. Authur Abraham fought with a smashed jaw he never quit.

Boxing is the hurt business you fight hurt.

Except no one compares Peter to guys like Tyson, Ali, Lewis, Louis, Marciano ect. They do compare Klitschko to them tho.

I do not get your point. Lewis beat a lot of good fighters : Golota, Ruddock, Mercer, Holyfield, Tyson, Morrison, McCall Rahman just to name a few.

Beating a 37 year old Holyfield and a 36 year old Tyson is way more impressive than beating Sanders and Johnson.

Remember Holyfield gave a prime Lewis all he can handle in their second fight. I would take this version version of Holyfield over Vitali Klitschko.

Chris fought with his gloves open "catching jabs" and pushing back against the punch. You aren't allowed to catch punches like that.

I dont remember Golota ever hurting himself in the Byrd fight or hearing anything of it.

For tearing a muscle. That's more dramatic then it sounds. Considering you use your shoulder to move your arms. And all James did was risk career ending injury by continuing to fight.

But seriously, I'd like for you to go and tear your rotator cuff and then have a boxing match for 9-12 rounds.

Also, we don't know how severe Vitali's tear was, or Golotas (if he even had one)

    - EDIT - ALSO - Factor in shoulder pain is variable and does not always correspond to the size of the tear.

After watching Vitali fight with his eyeball nearly out of his socket, you really think he would quit if his shoulder wasen't in major pain and risking serious career ending injury?

That's cause Toney is a MAN. Balls of steel. He knows if he quits that is career is pretty much finished. Klitschko's would have been if it wasn't for Kirk Johnson getting injured. He never gets a shot at the title other wise.

9-12 rounds??? The fight only went 10 and I doubt he torn it in the 1st.

Klitschko pulled a ***** move that any other fighter would get ruined for but he gets a pass why??? He fought with a bad cut??? I doubt he even realized how bad the cut was anyway.

A rule? The rule is you have to have a closed fist. You can't fight with open fist.

Klitschko tore his rotator cuff in round 3. And from what I know, he had a near complete tear of his rotator cuff. So thats 6+ rounds he went with a near completely torn cuff. And you call him a *****, for TRYING to muscle it out. Then two, giving up to save from any perminent injury and possibly CAREER ending?

Come on man. You dont know the facts but call him a ***** for it?

You can't PUNCH with an open fist, which is admittedly a rule that Byrd has infringed on in many of his fights. But you don't have to have a closed fist at all times and obviously you don't have to catch or parry with a closed fight. In some cases (Jack Johnson, George Foreman, Charles Brewer etc.) much of their defence consisted of catching punches with an open fist.

On the list of boxers who fought on with horrific shoulder injuries, Danny Williams scored a KO win despite having a shoulder sickiningly far out of its socket. His fist was practically trailing along on the floor.
