williams had some incredible highs and lows. it was a great ride but i think as soon as he lost to The Fridge he should have retired. He was the British champ afterall and it would have been great to leave then.
I'm sorry, not to be a massive **** here, but I've heard it too often to really buy it and I've been consistantly hesitant whenever Danny's supposedly retired before. I'm not blaming him, but we've been on this path before and I find it tough to give praise (that he deserves) since I'm not convinced it's over. His words stats it are pretty touching...but then they were in the past too. Give it a few months and maybe I'll be buying it. And TO be a massive **** - Danny, you're really not the only pro boxer in existance to win a fight with one arm either. Hell, even Audley's done it now. Me neither. Never believed that 228 thing at all, particularly then when he suddenly zipped right back up to his usual weight in the next fight yet looked much the same as vs Gammer. Danny did great that night but it wasn't due to some miracle diet (which he then must've ignored).

i know what you mean, but his body looked much more streamlined, and more defined...dont know if it did much for the fight but it at least shocked me when it happend. i remmeber there was a thread at the scene about how they thought he had caught malaria or something due to the weight. on the flip side look at him when he came in against skelton in the rematch...actually doesnt look that different from his 255 average lbage. the guy is a unit. there was that interview when he was on tv and looked like he took 2 seats to accommodate him.
There's the question. There was talk only recently that Danny was considering fighting Australian KO king Alex Leapai. Thankfully, it sounds like the fight's fallen through.
Big problem is, he most likely get offered decent purse to fight prospects who can get a easy KO with the Tyson/Vitali connection.
Managers will keep ringing his number. He'll need to stay strong with his decision or it won't be long before he's back in the ring again.
