Definately, thanks for putting that up. Was nice to hear him speak out. Never really thought too much of him before recently but he seems like an alright guy who wants to do the right thing for other boxers. Hopefully something comes of this and he doesn't get pushed aside. He's right, you shouldn't need a promoter to get fair treatment, thats just rediculous.
Glad to know others are investigating as well, which is why Oner(sp?) is coming up with bull**** public apologies.
Here's an interesting article about it. -------- Source: This content is protected This content is protected -------- This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected --------
Thanks for that. So far from what I've read about this incident I'm glad to see that Williams has nothing but good things to say for Airich. Its unfortunate that so much outside interference had to ruin what could have been a really good fight.
True, though I doubt Airich is as corrupt as his team, he just does his job and train for the fight and lets the rest do their job. But you're right, Williams did show some class by giving the man some credit despite being robbed clearly in the ring with all the bull**** point deductions and warnings he dealt with as a true professional. It's like they were begging for him to start a riot so they could instantly DQ.
I really hope that if this promoter did ring the bell when his man was in trouble that he is banned from having anything to do with the sport for some time. That is scandalous. And the ref....well having not seen the fight its hard to say, sounds like either Danny was really fighting dirty or the ref was being very strict maybe for biased reasons. Harder to get him if Danny was breaking the rules even if he was doing it from bias...at least the ref can say he had good reason.
