Danny Williams let him self down allot by not being motivated for certain winnable fights. True Warrior and feared no one. Allot of boxing ability and strength but mentality shortcomings.

errrrrrrrrrrrmmm Danny Williams has skills, he is by far the most talented heavyweight since Lennox Lewis...even more talanted than David Haye in some area's.

    But he has problems mentally.

He is not just a warrior, let's get that straight.

I've seen a good few of his fights, and you either get the motivated Williams who won the British title with one arm, defeated Tyson, beat Airich despite the promotor's best efforts - or you get the Williams whose only training was a quick jog to the cake shop every morning. I've seen some awful Danny Williams fights, but most of all, I'm a fan because he put Fraudley on his arse. Plus he seems like a genuinely nice guy.

All in all, it's been an entertaining career to follow, and I expect more of the same.

Williams actually had very good skills early on in his career trouble is he's a simpleton,an absolute prize pillock and chose to box like a idiot at times. He is not a natural fighter, natural athlete yes, boxer no.He will look back on his career with much regret. There are many fights he could have and should have won but he fought like a twat. That said the hammering he took from Vitali pretty much ruined him.

    well said
and some of these pussys quit when they get a cut before even finishing out the round....ghost gurerro , leija, camacho jr, chavez senior ( vs randall 2)

danny williams had plenty of heart and that will never be questioned

To do some of the things he did you would have to be a simpleton, nice guy or not.

I gave up on Williams the night he lost to Julius Francais. He has always had ability, but..........

Dude should be called bungalow........nothing upstairs.

williams has proved he is a dangerous fringe contender over the years, winning fights he should lose (potter, tyson) and losing fights he should have won(sprott, sosnowski). at his untrained, unmotivated worst managed to make audley harrison look like earnie shavers....still,for all the times he has displayed balls i guess i can forgive him that indescretion

i'm a huge fan of danny but he lost to mcdermott and sosnowski, no way he beats peter. maybe the 2004 version of him beats the post klitschkos version of peter.
but the fight should be made, no doubt, it would be widely entertaining while it lasts, but williams gets hurt in every fight and if peter smells blood he might find one of his old virtues again.

Danny Williams once was a good fighter that actually showed up in shape for fights and had a shot at thetop guys. But those Skelton fights really ruined his chances to get another big chance, outside of winning the Euro title or a huge upset.
