I definitely don't want to see him back in the ring, he is completely shot and in all honesty he was an embarrassment in Prizefighter. Danny could get seriously hurt against journeymen these days.

I thought he retired? When Carl Baker is knocking you down and getting you in trouble then you should hang the gloves up.

I'd love to see Williams come in shape like he did for Gammer if he was to continue, but it will never happen. Just hope Williams doesnt end up like Julius Francis did at the end of his career.

Is he skint or something....... there is no reason whatsoever to carry on.

The only reason there most likely isn't more of an outcry to pack in is because he has been known to lose to a joke opponent or be beaten up to the point of a stoppage before coming back miraculously.

But those days have passed, he is just a punchbag. I'd say he is even more shot than Evander Holyfield - which is saying something!

Sky should refuse to put the event on TV - that might make up his mind a little clearer.

I don't think he's coming back for the wrong reasons, i.e ££ is he?

    He's just shot.

    Terrible news.

I have a lot of time and respect for Danny and I don't want to see him getting hurt which, judging on his perfomance in Prizefighter, is something that is bound to happen.

His whole argument for carrying on is that he would have had Baker over the 12 round distance. He was knocked down a couple of times but was fighting back. I guess this is why he isn't looking into that defeat too much but it must be time too call it a day. He is easy to hit.

He would have KO'ed barker had it went one more round. Barker gassed big but that was more to do with the prizefighter way of the fight. I would prefer Danny to stay retired but would be a bad way to go not even defending your title and all.

With the career he's had it would be awful for him to go out on that Barker defeat.
He got caught cold then showed a tremendous amount of heart afterwards.
He can still have a say domestically-no doubt.

I disagree. Would have been perfect way to go out driving his opponent back after being put down. Whats the point of tune-up when if the guy can hit at all he could well have Danny out? Then he would have to give up title.
