I really hope it's not true.

Edit: Just read a thread in the Aussie forum and it seems to be true :-(

He just wouldn't want to go out like that. What a disappointment.

must have been too good to turn down, bit of retirement money, leapai?... looks like the best name on his record is a way over the mountain bob mirovic, alex seems to be stringing together a few early ko's and after williams last outing its not suprising theyve picked him.

best of luck for the future danny!

I hate it when faded boxers get baited with cash to pad a record. Danny can still bang so I hope he Ko's the twat and then properly retires. He has 0 punch resistance at this stage though so you have to fancy him to get knocked out.

Someone needs to get Danny some decent non fighting work to get him outta this game before he gets hurt. He was gonna bodyguard and I hope he does soon!!!

from what we saw in the Chisora fight, Danny has nothing left whatsoever and will likely be flattened quickly, which is a shame as he has given us some thrills over the years...

**** no, Leapai will flatten him. Why won't he retire like he said he would, he's already said that he's shot.

**** sake Danny, are you that skint?

He's promised to retire about 10 times now and judging by his last performance shouldnt even be allowed a licence.

Though boxrec doesnt mention Williams from what ive seen, says TBA.

Danny must have money issues! The amount of times this guy has retired......

He hasn't been the same since Vitali Klitschko bounced him up and down off the canvas back in '04.

Terrible news if true... At Upton Park he looked a danger to himself.

Disturbing news wasnt Danny going to become a personal bodyguard? I thought that might suit him big bloke looks intimidating enough fought for the world heavyweight title beat Tyson. I wouldnt mind him guarding me if i was a celeb i thought he could have a niche there.
