no doubt any training sessions, weigh-ins and pressers would be better than the actual fight. That's what I'd be looking to go to.

Apparently they have setup a press conference for this fight. Toney was reluctant to take on this this fight till Spencer showed him a picture for the press conference. Danny has already been twice to make sure the venue is exceedingly good.

Hope Danny trains properly for this fight and does not do the **** he used to do with McDonald.

He also needs to stop pretending he is a Prime Tyson who can take people out with one punch. He was doing it in his last fight against shitty Oleg Platov. Fighting for a 20 second spurt in every round is not going to win him fights.

If the fight comes off it should be a great day for British Boxing, just for having a modern day legend in James Toney over on British soil:good

If Danny trains right and keeps of the chocs he could find himself in the right place at the right time...ala Mike Tyson:good

James Toney - even the current version - is always a joy to watch. If he's got anything left, it will be too much for Danny.

Toney's really slipped If he gets outboxed by Sam Peter.

Wouldn't be suprised to see Williams pull off the win.

Damn, if this fight were to take place, I'm buying a ticket, and creating an anti-Toney t-shirt to wear for it too.

What an odd mix of styles...well, if Danny has one of his good days and Toney looks as faded as he has against Peter and Batchelder, he can catch him.

Trying to make it a WBC eliminator seems a bit far-fetched though.
Neither guy has even a Top 40 ranking!

Toney will be also returning from a suspension for failing a drug test, he'll probably be even fatter!

Wowzers, what's in this for Toney? If this fight comes off, Williams will have mixed it with V.Klit, Tyson & James Toney. Would get a decent crowd and some Bruno type support for Danny, I would love to go to this even though they're two shot and pretty irrelevent fighters as far as the world scene is concerned now. And Jeff Thomas on the undercard!

Keep some tickets to the side for me Jeff, I'll send my mate round to pick them up.

I wondered about that - take it he has served his suspension and is in the clear now.

His not lazy mentally. He just has no self belief in himself nor his abilites. He is talented but lets not get ahead of ourselves here. Danny vs Toney is an interesting bout only because Toney is the name here. I cant see the importance nor relavence of this bout espcially as some form of eliminator.

Toney is old and damaged goods and has nothing left other than his huge belly his hard head and his stern resolve. But the reality is the fat lady is singing very loudly for both fighters. Meanwhile even if this did propel Danny back into contention the liklyhood is he gest beaten into retirement permanently this time fairly akin to how Vitali beat him. He took a sustained beating in that fight of which i do not want to see again for his own health.Danny has found his level which was exposed ironically by turkeys own Samil Sam.

Remember guys it wasnt that long ago Danny was mooting retirment and that was AFTER beating Scott Gammer at a career low weight and coming in grossly out of shape vs Audley only to be beaten into a sound submmision.
