I wish he would fight outside of the UK and fight more often.

 

I think he's retired now.

 

Oh for God's sakes CandyBoyStandi!!! Danny Williams won his last fight against Gammer for the British and hasn't fought since. I've no idea why not

 

Did he? I must have missed that, what's your source?

Danny hasn't boxed since his victory over the now retired Scott Gammer for the British title.. John Mcdermott is high in the running for title honours since he retired Gammer .. Danny is too inconsistant and needs to get busy trying to make waves once again in the world rankings.. His inactivity has a lot to do with his religion, he is a strict muslim and cant focus on his fights during fasting and ramaddam.. Danny is capable of contending with some solid fighters on his A game, His loss to Samil Sam was a shame, he had been sufering from a long bout of shingles and was too proud to pull out of such a high profile fight.. He took on Audley in thier second fight on an eye blinks notice while wayyy out of shape.. He has proven how easy it is for him to handle Harrison , and to lose weight like he did with Gammer and without a full time trainer.. (Danny had no formal training for Gammer) he trained alone and lost the weight through complete self discipline, he was very proud of that win.. When focussed he can really make waves but he needs to fight more regular and fall back in love with a sport he is steadily getting dissalusioned with through (bluntly) A promoter who hasn't got his best interests at heart.. Warren and Danny are constantly bumping heads like in a power struggle.. Warren sent some heavys round to Dannys place before his second fight with Audley , he didn't want the fight to take place .. Danny got word and made sure he was out of the house. Danny fough Audley FAT to spite Warren.. You may not believe it but its from a very solid source...

I am not surprised he never fights that often, The worse thing he ever did was stop fighting for DKP.. Don had far better connections on the world scene and could have secured better opposition and opportunities for Williams.. I hope he fights again soon .. Danny remains an enigma.. He has never shown his true ability in a pro ring.. I am damn sure of that. He leaves his finest in the gym..

 

Dannys last fight was in March..

I hope he fights sometime soon, he is too good to be inactive....

 

No need for insults. Danny Williams may not be the most active of fighters, but he fights more often than once every 63 years.

He would have been the first man to sign himself into the priory clinic for Confectionary addiction..

Whilst i lived in England i seen him schooled by both Audley harrison and Matt Skelton.

Yes is(more was) a decent fighter but its all over..He dont have the desire to fullfill any potential he may have..

I will always remember Danny for the beating he recieved from Vitali and the two poor performance vs other British fighters..

dannys next fight is against john mcdermott in defence of his british title. the fights gone to purse bids so it should be announced soon. the reason hes been inactive because frank warren promise him a shot at the european title against virchis but once again didnt deliver. nd if ur wondering if dannys fat watch his exihbition fight that was last week on youtube.

 

You are probably right...... He hasn't convinced on the world level since Vitali.

He has to get busy or it may just be over...
