Perez and Mares have not proven they can adapt at the high level.

Both Darchinyan and Mares are the superior technicians, and they are constantly forced to adapt to their opponents, often before the fight begins.

Darchinyan and Agbeko are too experienced and too good to lose to these guys.

I'm not sure either of them will win by knock out, but I think it will be clear at the end who won.

Once again Hendo shows himself to be utterly rubbish at predicting fights!

And you wonder why people laugh at you when you say Haye will destroy the Klits. :rofl

Agbeko did win, and accoding to showtimes' three press writers and Antonio Tarver, Darchinyan won also.

Honestly, I think Mares youth, chin, and determination saw him through to a close but earned decision win.

But exactly as I predicted, both Agbeko and Darchinyan were the superior techicians.

Sure Mares workrate played a signficant role, but Darchinyan was hitting him so hard from huge counters that you could hear the shots outside the building.

Mares could take an ass whippin, and I was wrong, but not in my analysis. The fact that you are so blind to the actual skill involved in boxing means that you will be even more surprised when Klitschko loses to Haye.

To pick a winner in this fight, you have to decide if you favor hard, effective counterpunching or volume and effort.

Usually, I pick counterpunching and skill, but I think Darchinyan's conditioning wasn't where it needed to be, and Mares was in great shape and could take some serious punches.

But getting hit like that is not good for your career.

So what the **** you got to say?

And on a side note, neither Mares nor Perez showed any sort of ability to adapt. Mares just continued to press his style despite taking punches that would have knocked most guys out, and prevailed due to youth, effort, size, and conditioning rather than boxing acumen and skill.

    And Perez....

Perez did EXACTLY the same thing he does every fight. Very predictable. No visible upside. Mares; however, does have an upside, but he needs to learn to adapt because if he can't keep having fights where he takes serious punishment, especially against guys like Vic who can really punch.

    It's bad for your career.

I didn't tell anyone to bet off my simplistic analysis.

I didn't even give any details to how this would happen.

If you bet on my advice, I'm sorry I was wrong, but I can't predict the future.

I would advice you not to gamble anymore if it's becomming a problem, but that's for you to find out.

Personally, I have no qualms with this thread...

    Mares isn't Donaire.

    I didn't even mention Donaire.

Agbeko won and Darchinyan got old in the fight and lost by the narrowest of margins, what's so ridiculous?
