i've seen Donaire before...he's a good boxer with good pop...i wouldnt be surprized if he pulled off an upset.."BUT"...i've never seen Donaire fight backwards..and thats important...Darchinyan is a bulldozer...forward forward bombs bombs...Donaire has good tyming, he can bouce back just enough to makem miss and then then strike with counters...all the Donaire fights i've seen were somewhat missmatches and all of those "mismatches" try to box with Donaire...Darchinyan will come in with his hands down, get clipped over and over, and when he lands, Donaire will feel it... this is a CLASSIC styles matchup, slugger vs. boxer..can go either way, either Donaire shuts out Vic or Vic will break him down the stretch...Darchinyan bombs for 12 rounds...i've seen him throw haymakers without getting tired..so Donaire has got to be doing his roadwork...in the back of my mind, i have a lil hunch that Donaire will drop and hurt Darchinyan in the middlerounds, Im expecting a bit of a shocker...Darchinyan aint that hard to study, aint that hard to find, everyone who tries to outbox darchinyan, mentally beaks down in the late rounds...Darchinyan's last fight, he hospitalized Burgos and put him in a semi coma...when a fighter goes through that, he somewhat holds back on his punches after that for a couple of fights like Marciano with Vingo, Ruelas when he killed that dude (forgot who), Jesus Chavez with Levander Johnson, it takes something away from the puncher...so the Darchinyan we're gonna see this weekend better forget the fact that he can kill some one and just do it....or else, Donaire will pull off an upset along with Christian Mijarez.....

The second thread comparing Donaire-Darchinyan to Mijares-Arce...I haven't seen Donaire so I'll just have to wait and see.
well donaire is no mijares, that's for sure. he's a good boxer. as i have said, he may win a few rounds. has a good jab but doesn't carry much power. vic defeated glen donaire but nonito's better than his brother. but i think his jaw is untested. so that's why i was picking vic by ko/tko vic should have gotten a tko but was awarded a TD instead
Vic may de slightly shy after hurting someone so badly in his last fight. But Donaire watched Vic beat the living crap outta his brother. I think they will both have some mental baggage coming into this fight. Vic will win by breaking Donaire down.
