Funnily enough I was always confident that Rigo was going to win that fight and think he would again. Loma V Rigo is the one I'd like to see next year.

I bet it will be his shoulders, or he didnt train for the fight. Or, he didn't study his opponent. Any Phonito excuse works for Vic too. Irregardless, this is a one sided affair no matter how much Vic talks it up. He's old. This is just Arum trying to build up Phonaire again so the pinoys can be proud of another false champion.

    Pure projection.

Translation: "Losing this fight would send me into retirement."

dude, its a tuneup. and a well deserved tuneup after shoulder surgery AND a loss.

we'll see if the shoulder injury is legit or another excuse.

Darchinyan will come out his guns blazing. I like this arrogant dude, he comes to fight it just isnt enough against top notch opponents. i was so proud when he destroyed Mijares. Alot of people thought Vic was gonna get annihilated once again. He is proud *******, crude fighter but I still like his attitude.:good

He is 37 YEARS OLD BANTAM WEIGHT. That is pretty remarkable imo and still fighting against the best world has to offer. Respect that.

I am sure Donaire will ko him but rooting for Vic.

You guys are seriously underrating Darchinyan. I think the hate Vic has for Donaire will make him mentally tougher, so that will enable him to absorb all the power punches Donaire will throw and stay on his feet. If Nonito wins, it will only be by UD, not by KO. Donaire can't KO a very hating mentally tough Darchinyan.

I think Darchinyan will manage to win a UD against Nonito this time. Yea, his awkward style will confuse Nonito, like he did with Mijares. Vic will win this by decision man.

    Vic UD

This fight is a waste of time. I don't care who wins.

Agreed...everyone undestimates heart and determidation. It can get you over the top if your competition (Donaire's preparation) isn't up to standard.

I'm not sure Donaire will be able to bring up his power at 126

Darchinyan isn't lacking in confidence, and while Darchinyan is past his prime, he also not the snarling, spittle seething, crab walking one dimensional bomber he was when they first fought. If he mixed up his approach between bombing, mauling, and mixing in the herky-jerky offensive/defensive screwball offense from the Mijares/Kirilov/Arce era, he can definitely improve on the first fight, especially if Nonito emotionally melts down like he did against Rigo.

But, like someone else pointed out, Vic ALWAYS has a string of excuses when he loses. I think he honestly believes he'd be 1,000,000-0 with nine hundred thousand kayos if there wasn't a massive global conspiracy against him.

He has more than that. I agree that Donaire will win but it will be a close fight.
