**** off with this garbage Ty, I'm not big on Greeny myself, but you're making yourself look more idiotic every day.

Even CHB wasn't this relentless with Ashley.

wasnt vic voted in the top 10 list of ussr boxers recently? that encompasses russians aswell, even though they are no longer part of the soviet union , alot of people still see them as a collective, so its fair to say he would be hugely popular in russia also , dead****. as sox said , fair enough if you dont like the guy but this is kind of creepy and bordering on psychotic

Armenia is not part of Russia & wasnt for most of its history through the centuries.
Armenians being some of the first Orthodox Christians.
I know a couple Armenians personally who would find it offensive to even being considered a Soviet.

Just like many people from the Balkans where most of my family heritage originates from would be disgusted to even be considered Yugoslav.

If anything they are alot more passionate about their countries than most Australians are today, especially coming out of many wars & suppression in the recent decades just to be recognized as a country.

apologies, i was under the impression it was part of the ussr for a period of time?, i know a lot of people who group a lot of those countries together and i assumed it was due to a period of soviet control. sorry if it caused offence. Back to the point i have actually heard that vic is hugely popular in russia

Kegsy, do you think some Armenians are offended to be considered Soviet and people from the Balkans as Yugoslavs because of their opposition to Communism or some other reason?

Armenians have been connected to Russia in one form or another from the past three centuries and have close political ties today. Given that the majority of Russians are Orthodox Christians, I thought they would have had more in common than with their neighbours.

Did Greeny actually congratulate Australia's only world champ in Geale when he defended his title successfully last week ?
