    I'm far from booting up for Billy Dib here, but Francis I think you'll find Dib also holds an IBF World Title, just like Daniel Geale (albeit at Featherweight)

    haha i just dont get why people are making such a big deal of it, alot of people associate armenia with russia, and i doubt vic would be offended by it, him and danny are extremely close mates.

    idk stiffler the karnt thinks we all got a soft part of the skull and that a bloke who isnt even Russian is a National Hero in Russia!. And no he didnt congrats to Geale, people have noted it on his facebook. And Buster, the point isnt that the bloke is a *****, the point is that he is a moron, was most likely on the **** (when he should be training for the Tarver rematch thats never going to happen), he says Armina and Russian Hero in the same fckn sentence, you cant get anymore thick than this dumb karnt! VIC Darchynian is not russian and it not considerd a national hero in Russia by anyone other than Dannyboy Green!

    i think the word is **** not karnt? and its armenia not armina. Have you been to russia and concluded the fact that he isnt a hero there? as i said before i hear he has a massive following in russia. Maybe he isnt as big a fan of geale as he is of vic, or perhaps he just forgot.

    He's smart he has made an absolute fortune. He plays the media and anti-Mundine sentiment to a T. If nothing he's a shrewd businessman. Sometimes he stoops to low measures but the media especially the Western Australian and Daily Telegraph love the guy. Pretty smart if you ask me.

    i agree, how has he not gotten behind australia lol hes lived here for ages and had fights here , and promotes the sport from here. id say hes done a fair bit

    Vic speaks fluent Russian and actually fought for Russia for 2 years in 10 tournaments.

    He fought out of the Sochi Russian army Gym.

    He has a lot of Russian friends, is popular in Russian boxing circles and had serious Russian dignitaries turn up to his fight in Armenia.

    Don't know if that makes him wildly popular but he has very strong links and is well known.

    Historically Armenia was part of the Soviet Union from 1922 till 1990 which means Vic was part of the USSR until he was 14.
