Darchinyan-Mares is a better fight than Khan-Maidana!!! It is the real FOTY

Def Khan-Maidana, it was FOTY for me.

 

Yeah I go with Vic/Mares - both guys adapted to best meet their opponents style and really actually swapped 'traditional' roles for their fight. It was back and forth and both showed huge heart...

Mares for surviving the KD, point deduction, cut and Vic's power
Vic for pushing through to the end, winning the 12th when out of gas, dealing with a **** ref and taking it to a fresh, hungry 25 year old.

Great night and great fight.

Khan Maidana was entertaining as hell though too

 

I love the never give up attitude. Khan had him done in the first. Maidana was out gun in every sence. But kept trying and finally landed something meaningful. Rasing through time to knock him out. Showed a lot of heart from Khan to survive. And even more heart from Maidana for not givng up and catching him after that brutal knockdown.

Mares get second place for me for coming from behind to win it. basicaly Darchin gets early rounds mares closes. It was more competative but Khan and Maidana had the drama.

saw both of them and liked Khan/Maidana better.

 

i saw the highlights cuz i couldn't see the fights, but the highlights made it seem like the mares-vic fight was better
