Agree. Even in the 3rd round where he stunned Vic I still think he lost the majority of the round. Wish Vic could have put him out, he hurt him like 5 different times with that uppercut.

Arce proved that his heart and will and chin are there. He might be past his prime but not shot.He took an enormous amount of punishment.

Arce is far from shot, I agree. Of course, he was in very fine form against Darchinyan. On that kind of form, he'd have beaten a lot of top fighters, in my view.

I think he is the type of fighter that needs to stay busy, his pattern lately,he has fought 4 times in less than a year so he has stayed in shape.
Like Vic said to the still unmasked person ....''First beat him(pointing to Arce) then fight me.He will destroy you,he will beat you''.:D

Wow, I'll admit i haven't seen Arce too much before this fight, so I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to him as a fighter. But boy does he ever wing his shots in giant, technically unsound loops. I mean can he even throw a straight shot?? To be honest I was expecting a little more judging by the pre-fight buildup.

Good news: Arce was released from the hospital and he's OK.

Jorge Arce said Sunday morning that he plans to head for Miami where he and his family have reservations on a cruise ship which will travel throughout the Carribean. “First stop is Puerto Rico where I hope to see my good friends Miguel Cotto and Ivan Calderon,” said Arce. After the fight Saturday, Arce, 29, was taken to a local hospital for observation, then released. On Sunday morning Arce was in his room at the Ayres Hotel in Anaheim. He said he has the usual “aches and pains from a fight” but added he was physically all right. “I really wanted to go all 12 rounds,” Arce said about his title fight against champion Victor Darchinyan at the Honda Center in Anaheim on Saturday night. Arce said he plans to continue fighting “….at least one more time.”

Some memorable moments before and after the fight:

Fans booing, but look at Vic's smile, like: 'yeah, keep on booing, in 5 minutes you'll shut up or root for me anyway'. He's a serious dude, isn't he?

Mexican fans discredit Darchinyan, who respond: 'I whoop your ass!'
