DARCHINYAN puts on brutal beating, ARCE out of hospital

Like most posters I'm picking Darchinyan by stoppage. But it's was a tough call. Unpredictability is a big factor here for several reasons. Both have a huge punch, and Vic has a suspect chin, so if they go toe-to-toe, even the faded version of Arce can get a clean knockout here, any you don't want to let Arce get inside and rip you body to slow you down. So Darchinyan has to use the boxing abilities he showed in the Mijares fight. Big question how well will Arce adjust to Vic's style, Mijares had little success figuring him out, while Donaire countered excellently. But whether he can adjust or not, Arce's chances are still pretty solid. Behind on the cards, he produced a one-punch body KO vs. Rojas, and although both Mijares and Lookhamanak outworked Jorge, they got hit flush time to time, again, something Darchinyan doesn't want tonight. Arce is very tough, and while Darchinyan can break down anyone, there's a better chance of a cut stoppage than a knockout IMO. Jorge is one tough SOB with rock hard chin.

I'm favoring Darchinyan because he showed excellent boxing skills, speed and punch estimation lately, but this fight will be the answer whether he really became THAT good, or it was a one-fight wonder. Arce always had trouble with southpaws, Rojas, Mijares and Lookhamanak all won round after round. Vic's defense improved as well, and he needs to be on his A game to avoid Jorge's left hooks to the body or big combos inside. But if he fights smart, he should get the win, TKO or UD. But if Arce makes it a war, it's 50-50.
