I am quite surprised and impressed with Darchinyan's post fight comments that came out today. He had great respect and great things to say about Mares and the fight itself. This comes a long may from saying he wasn't even hurt when Donaire smacked him silly. It seems the raging bull has matured some since the Nonaire fight.

I pretty much agree with all of his quotes, except that he won. I thought Mares won close but clear, although I also thought it was close enough that I was afraid the judges might come out the wrong way.
I figured he'd have better things to say once he cooled down from the bitterness from losing a close fight- I'm glad that's the case! Good to see some class and respect from Vic towards Mares. They both deserve all the credit they get for that fight.
