Well no..there is certainly a lot doubt over that statement, as you can see by the facts I brought up to counter it.

You have shown no evidence to back up your claim, except to say he hasnt fought Montiel yet. Which I assure you he will if he beats Mijaries.

I cant see how he is protected, he is an Armenian that fight out of Australia but has rountinely ventured to the States to put his title on the line.
Just in case you missed it the first time he WENT TO THE PHILLIPINES to fight Z Gorres.

 

The opponents on his resume is proof mate...he shoud go for Montiel ad mijares. And maybe take a fight with solid champion at 118. that's not much of an ask is it. I am sick of seeing him hand picking opponents. They keep taking easy fights. Again it's a fact..HE hasn't fought a puncher or fought a div up in weight..

 

Vasquez is a big jump! He has already dropped Vic in a sparring.

He is slated to fight Mijares, read the thread. Its all but signed.
He is a two division champion, he won a title at one weight lost it, then won a title at another weight. That means he fought a "div up in weight"

Obviously you know sweet **** all about the lower the divisons, Vic's resume is fairly good compared to a lot of others around. One loss against the no1 flyweight in the world, refer to my earlier post for the credentials of the other guys he has fought.

When he moved up to 118 he wasnt the man no more, he had to earn a shot at the two big names. So he went to fight Z Gorres (who almost beat Montiel) in the Phillipines to earn a shot at Kirilov who held a belt.
**** just doesnt happen at the click of your fingers, Vic had to claw his way back up and he has well and truly done this. If he could got a shot at Mijares or Montiel earlier he would have taken it, now he is on their radars.
Since he beat Pacheco the combined records of the guys he has faced has been 280-40-24.
Only his comeback fight against Catubay and his win against Burgos' with his misleading record make the loss column look so large, they accounted for over half those losses.

he fought 1 div up big whooopty doo.. and fights a weak champ. The quality of his opponent are c class at best. I mean they're no real bangers. Montiel is a puncher no question. And Vic is trying his best to stay allergic to punchers. **** the paded 280-40-24 records how many where real dangerous..None. Face it mate it;s a fact..So stop it already.your argument is weak.

Again obviously you know nothing about these lighter divisions because you would have a hard time trying to find a champion who has a record that is miles better than Darchinyans.
Wonjonkam was the best flyweight since too sharp and his record wasnt a whole lot better than Vic's.
Donaire's only other big win is feasting on Vic's left overs, Naverez has one of the most padded records at flyweight.
FACT: Vic has been very vocal about fighting guys like Arce, R. Marquez, I. Vasquez and yes even Manny P. All punchers, most a lot bigger than him. These challenges are on record, so you cant just write them off as bull****.
