just one punch and it would be over...izzy can take 6 punches just to lang one hook and it's goodnight!
vic will be brutallized! izzy has 2x the power of donaire and has been hit by marquez who imo hits way harder than vic. vic is just an arrogant sob who calls out izzy & pac as if he is in their league in which he definitely isn't.
vic just talks too much ****. i hope this fight gets made and el magnifico can KTFO this guy and shut the **** him up for good.
Your source is full of it. Vic & Izzy have sparred twice. Once before Vic's aborted title shot against Irene Pacheco (which was ultimately postponed due to a hurricane) & then again prior to Vic's title defence against Luis Maldonado. I've seen their first sparring session that went for six rounds. Your source is full of bs because Vic did not "get the better out of it" as claimed. In fact if you were scoring it in rounds, Izzy probably would have won most of them. Darchinyan certainly had his moments though and connected quite regularly with very heavy left hands. The session was very intense with both guys going at it hard for many of the rounds. Suggesting that Izzy was operating at less than 50% is laughable. So I would respectfully suggest to you that "your source" was wrong on all counts. One statement that is accurate is the comment that Izzy is very calm during sparring. That is certainly an accurate description of the early going but he had to crank it after getting hit with some big left hands. Another rumour that often surfaces is that Izzy dropped Vic in sparring. That's more bs. At one point during their session, Vic loses his footing & gets tangled up in the ropes. Izzy then lets one go while Vic is down. Like I said, the session was intense & Izzy took the opportunity to get a clean shot in when he had it. Another point I'd make is the size difference between the two during this session. It was massive. In part, this is because the session occurred the week before Vic was to challenge for a world title for the first time. He was very close to the 112 lb flyweight limit whilst Izzy was between fights & probably weighed in excess of 130. It's also worth noting that at the time they sparred Vic obviously had not had any world championship experience whilst Izzy had already been world champion at 122. They sparred again prior to Vic's fight with Luis Maldonado. I didn't see that session but the report I was given was that Darchinyan dominated to the point where Izzy's handlers ended it before the scheduled number of rounds had been completed. As to a fight between the two, anyone who stands in front of Darchinyan & trades with him is in danger of getting taken out. Izzy would deservedly start as a big favourite but Darchinyan has a great chance of pulling the upset, imo.
I hope this happens. I want to see Vic on the floor bleeding. I want to see him admit that he lost fair and square.
Everyone seems willing but there has to be some doubts as to whether it will. If Izzy stays at 122 I'd say it's likely. If he goes to 126 the chances of one or both of them getting derailed before it happens are high.
Vasquez via murderous beating:deal What is it with these Darchinyan threads.............at least its not as bad as the "Vic v Pac" thread I spotted earlier on.
Well I didn't mean in a financial sense. I meant in a simple "so and so vs so and so" fantasy match up sense. I'd never pick anyone other than Izzy as long as the weights are SOMEWHAT fair (as opposed to his rumored 135 lb clash with MAB last year). The Kermit Cintron one was most certainly both fiscal, literal and metaphorical.
Gotcha. Izzy has had a great run but he's certainly not unbeatable so it will be interesting to see how he goes from here. A fight with Chris John at 126 would be real good for him, imo.
