Deleon didnt knock him down so i dont think Vic can knock him down,plus Penalosa is bigger then vic.

 

Penalosa would give Vic the fits and at the very least make him look very bad. But I think he would outbox him and eek out a decision.

The guy has been in with some very good and underrated names, he has had some debatable decisions go against him, some solid wins, some upsets and he is always quick and awkward.
He wouldnt just stand there like Mijares nor would Vic be landing on him as consistently. Which Vic needs to do, he needs to be in control, in the drivers seat or he gets more frustrated and makes more mistakes. See Pacheco, Donaire, Burgos, Sikali and to a degree Gorres.

Not an easy fight for Vic..not a pretty fight for Vic. At least 4 or 5 other fights Id rather see.

 

you really know penalosa. some guys here just instantly blurt vic by KO or vic by stoppage but really haven't seen much of penalosa. some just look at the age and tell instantly that penalosa is slow. i agree that there are more bigger and winnable fights for vic right now. penalosa is way too risky for him with little rewards not to menton penalosa is settled now at 118 and fought deleon at 122.

You can't easily count Penalosa out against VIC. That guy is a smart fighter and though already past his young age the guy somehow still managed to keep his body in fighting condition..

 

Penalosa wins by Decision or maybe KO. Penalosa maybe past his best but his more bigger and has the better defence, more technically skilled, also he has never been KO'd in his whole career and most of his losses came by SD, that says something

 

pick gerry, verygood technical fighter with a solid chin, good defense, smart fighter with under-rated fighter. vic is good but bad style match-up for him.
