I just read that Montiel could not make the weight and Donaire is fighting Puerto Rico's Jose Lopez instead.

can't make the weight @115? so, what is he going to do? move up to 118 where nobody is there? i'm sure montiel will make 115 for the winner of darchinyan-arce. this is obviously a duck if this is true. :-( nobody has the balls to fight donaire.

Im confused.. The fight is in march yet Montiel can't make weight? wtf is that all about ? I think somebody is having second thoughts about putting his title on the line.

promoters like gary shaw is killing the sport, oh well, for them it's business anyways, but i would bet for another beatdown by donaire if they meet again,

darchiyan will do the chicken dance again :good

The raging bull should leave and sign with Arum if he wants the fight.

the thing is, if donaire and darchinyan win their next fight, which are both tough if i may add, the next step is for them to fight each other to have an undisputed champ at 115. shaw will be under so much pressure to make this fight if they both win, unless darch wins a very close match against travieso and in that case it would probably be a rematch between the two

Gary Shaw even said that Donaire should beg like a dog to ask for a rematch... Heck why does Donaire need to ask? He can go on without Vic, why? He KTFO Vic and earned the KO of the Year 07! Vic and Shaw should be the one going after him and beg like a dog.

the raging bull should do the chasing given the beatdown he received last time out.

if only for the sake of redemption and just in case he gets his revenge, that can set up donaire darchinyan 3.

but do understand that promoters see this as business and hence and immediate rematch between fighters received a thorough beating the last time around will not generate the buzz it is required to make it profitable. promoters are hoping to cash on the fans short memory for another trip down fight lane.

that is why mab-pac 2 happened despite the beating the first time and pac-jmm2 despite the 3 knockdowns.

shaw was donaire's previous promoter. guy is just sour since donaire left him for arum. i remember shaw being this sour at pac too when pac left him also for arum.
