Darchinyan is done, got hurt twice by his opponent who looked like a light flyweight. Rigondeaux would knock him into retirement.
I don't blame him, he's indeed a true warrior. He can beat Terrazas who in my opinion lost to Mijares .
So if this happens, where does this leave Rigo? This is the last snippet I've heard or read: http://m.espn.go.com/general/blogs/blogpost?blogname=new-yorkboxing&id=3769&city=newyork
Rigo is going to Rule 122 for as long as he damn well pleases. Cool thing he's no longer just a mere title holder.
Yeah, well... He wants to stay at 122. He's made that really, really clear. So I'm rolling with that in mind. There was initially an idea he'd fight some 126 guys at a CW if they wanted to meet him at 124.
Logic indicates that the fight making sense is a unification against Terrzas who holds a belt and fights for TR. But Arum already made clear he doesnt give 3 shits about Rigo. Terrazas is the weakest link and Bob will reserve that belt probably for a Nonito return if he ever goes back to 122. i heard a rumor Cordoba wanted his revenge, he's fighting in Panama. A fight im sure nobody is interested to watch.
As a Darchinyan fan I wasn't overly impressed with his performance. Gallo was an elementary opponent experience wise and it showed but he still managed to wobble vic. Vics careless attacks, poor defense, lack of combination punches. You didn't get to see a lot but I thought he would do better. Vic wants Terrazas for the WBC and I think thats a better fight. Vic has no business being in with RIGO.
if donaire saw vic's punches a mile away, rigo would be seeing that cocking left 500 lightyears away.
