Dariusz Michalczewski (Hill) vs Iran Barkley (Hearns 2)

I think DM was the better fighter and certainly at 175 so I went with him

 

I will go with Michalczewki by late stoppage although the Barkley of the 2nd Hearns fight was a beast. Michalczewki dominated Hill, who had just beat Maske, who stopped Barkley, a less effective Barkley i might add.

 

I pick Barkley by KO. Some of DM's advantages were his strength and conditioning. Barkley matches him in both categories.
I feel the fight would take place on the inside where DM's better boxing skills are nullified. On the inside I give Barkley the edge.

 

I'd favor Dariusz on the strength of his jab, superior skillset, & more precise punching.

However, I wouldn't rule out that even an aging Barkley tests Dariusz's durability & resilience in ways that we seldom saw from his largely undistinguished opposition.

 

That jab would destroy Irans face.

 

Fair enough. DM is used to being the boss and aggressor in the fight. Barkley would make him go backwards, which would make it uncomfortable for DM.

 

I don't think Barkley would be backing Michalczewki up. Michalczewki is a sharp jabber and excellent puncher. I would love to this fight though.
