I give the tiger a good chance to win this.

Tarver would beat him. Dariuz was too easy to hit.

How did Tarver lose to Johnson then?

Tarver schools him. Dariusz only has KO chance later in fight but I do not see it. Johnson was a very busy fighter with granit chin that is why he gave trouble

Dariusz had a granite chin too to be fair.

I don't know. The Tigers jab was like a right-hand and he threw it quick.
I'm not too sure Tarver could handle his physical strength.

I’m leaning towards DM by a decision. Tarver was very durable and tough but I think DM had overall more success as a pro

If you match ages and include ams, you'll see that Tarver put in plenty of work over a long period.

(Related: Eric Harding at his at his peak is badly underrated today.)

True. But DM had a pro streak of 48-0, arguably was linear champion. Wasn’t beaten until his later years. Tarver probably had the best single win between the two men when he beat Jones but that wasn’t a prime Roy either. Not sure id bet money on this one but if I had to choose I might pick DM in points

Tarver arguably has the best win of the century, was one of the best American ams ever, and I'm sure he'll tell you he was lineal more than once at 175. It's kind of one of those fights where if Tarver loses it's due to him blowing it.

You can rewatch it, sound off, and you'll see a Jones that looks like he did in the couple years preceding it, not counting the first fight.

It's the same punch Del Valle landed and not the first career Tarver ruined.

I think jones was on the way down by that point.
