    Interestingly, the guy to whom JCG went on to hot-potato the belt (the Firebird himself, Zsolt "Madár" Erdei) would in many ways mirror the career of Michalczewski, garnering acclaim from boxing critics but hardly ever setting foot outside Europe and for one reason or another never quite landing the big dates with the best of his contemporary peers, until at the very end of his career losing his zero via split decision robbery (to Grachev).
