Don't usually post on the classic, but read all the time as I'm a younger fan looking to learn more about past fighters. How would you see Dariusz Michalczewski fair against the current LHW division? I've been looking at some of his fights and was impressed with his jab, high guard and well rounded technical ability. What did people think Dariusz Michalczewski when he was active?
He had a frustrating career for fans because he didn't challenge himself to the maximum extent. He was clearly worse than Ward and Kovalev. I think he was better than Beterbiev. I'm not sure how much Stevenson has left, but he was operating at a similar level.
Ward is way too canny for Darius and Kovalev would thump him out. He would beat 38 year old STevenson though
He may very well be better than any of the current champions. Whether he is or isn't, he would be a stiff challenge for any of those men. I think he definitely beats Stevenson. 50/50 against Ward and Kovalev.
Ward UD Daruisz. Kovalev KO Daruisz (I think that Dariusz is the better boxer, not sure he can take Kovalev's punches though)
