DM performed at CW, and won a belt as well, so how would he had done against one of the divisions best fighters ever?
1" height advantage and 4" reach advantage for Jirov not including the natural weight difference. Would be a size mismatch.
Jirov has the physical advantage, but mismatch? I think DM is a typical case of a great fighter who was underestimated because he fought in Europe. He dominated the two fighters who beat Toney at LHW and beat a very good Hill clearly. DM in his prime was as relentless as Calzaghe. Jirov would need his size advantage to neutralize DM's greater toughness. it would be a great fight, I see it 50:50.
I remember wanting this fight to happen, but I think it's clear that Jirov would have been a big favorite and probably would have won going way. Jirov mid-late TKO. Would have been fun while it lasted.
