Good list. The problem with the Cruiserweigts is that the Europeans have the belts and want to keep them overseas. Iguess there is more money over there for them, but they should at least have a few defenses in the U.S. of A. I guess fighting overseas, the crowd doesn't expect as much.

Dude, I said no particular order. And the Ding A Ling Man is truly dangerous to anyone, even David Haye. Wilson may have the best whiskers in the divsion and that means a lot with the punchers that exist there.:smoke:smoke

    My mistake

It's hard to make a case for him being in the top 5, if we are being realistic. Needs to get a big fight, although it's not easy if you represent more risk than reward

I wouldn't **** Mormeck off completely. I had him up by one point against Haye until he got knocked out. Anybody in the division can get cleaned out by Haye, so we shouldn't be so harsh as to drop him out of the top 10 completely!

Can you imagine if the Ding A Ling Man clocked Haye in that fight? I guarantee Haye wouldn't have turned the tide.

BTW, I picked Haye to stop Mormeck in that bout. And I think Haye struggles brutally to make 200 and he may not campaign there again.:smoke:smoke

Its not fair to keep talking about Haye as a cruiserweight.

Firstly, he's shedding 25lbs every time he makes 200lbs, and secondly its not fair on the genuine cruisers to be fighting a heavyweight in cruiserweight's clothing.

Best of luck to Ding I hope 2008 is the year they finally give you a title shot.

I don't know about that, Mormeck punches pretty damn hard as well. Only man to knock out O'Neil Bell after all

He's made it clear he won't fight at cruiser again. He was only willing to stay there for what would be a huge fight against Maccarinelli here in the UK, but Big Mac chickened it. Just too much weight draining ruins his chin and stamina, it would be too risky to fight at cruiser while his stock is high

It's all up for grabs in this division now. It's one of my favourites, with some very good unheralded fighters

That's a double edged sword though

Whilst he may be bigger and more powerful, he lacks the stamina and his legs are like jelly

Best for all involved if he moves up

Mormeck DID NOT KO Bell. Bell stopped him in 10 and dropped a highly controversial decision to Mormeck in France in a rematch. In that rematch the French would ring the bell 30 seconds early when Bell began to thrash Mormeck. Bascially, they cheated for Mormeck to get him the decision win. :rofl:rofl

It's odd that Bell has been out of the spotlight since then. Here is a guy with major pop and a granite chin who like action, and he can't get a major fight. I wish I had the money to do my own promotions, because there is so much money to be made in boxing, but the big time guys only want to do something with a title belt. That's not fair.

    ****s sake

I always get those two mixed up. Either way, if he isn't one of the 10 best cruiserweights I'm a Dutchmans uncle

I think he'd take out Mac for a start, as much as I hate to admit it

Yeah, Mormeck can hang with some on the list but I think he's had enough and wouldn't be surprised to see him call it a day at this point. :smoke:smoke

Jean Mark, has had a great career, and it would be good to see him go while he was still good. It's no shame going out on his shield the way he did. He has made a good accounting of himseld and stands as one of the best Cruiser's ever.

Yeah, I don't know what's become of Bell. I hope he sticks around and takes some serious fights. He's an exciting and fun fighter to watch. And he can still be a viable contender if he so desires. :smoke:smoke

DUVA BOXING CLOSING IN ON FLORES SIGNING!

Boxingt***ers should not be surprised if undefeated cruiserweight BJ Flores inks a promotional deal with Duva Boxing in the coming days. Flores will face Darnell Wilson in an ESPN2 Main Event in his first fight under Duva's banner once a deal is finalized.
