Darnell Wilson v BJ Flores 8/2

Which stunt was that? You'd think someone named "BJ" would have enough problems.

 

I think Wilson has fought by far the better competition. His experience, solid chin and power will nullify BJ's speed advantage. I expect Ding will win by KO in the mid to late rounds, but will take a lot of shots in the process.

This should be a great fight and a great test to see what BJ brings to the ring.

 

I'm taking Wilson in this fight - and I'm actually going.

I live in Delaware - and the fight is about 40 minutes from me in Dover, Delaware. It's a ESPN FNF show and the tickets start at $35 - so why not. Plus I want to meet Teddy Atlas - so hopefully I'll get my chance then.

BJ is untested, will last a few rounds prob before getting stopped.
Wilson just has too much power.
Would be great to see Wilson fight Cunningham for the IBF Title, should all go good here.
Would suit a HBO BAD telecast or Showtime card perfectly.

it looks as if Jirov is going half speed n Flores is throwing every punch with conviction in a sparring session

 

guys, dont sleep on bj flores...the kid is talented and has great speed for a cruiserweight...not to mention he also has pop and cardio.....

Actually, if you really think about it, he has the style and attributes that should trouble me more than the other fighter out there (aside from 05 thru summer 06 when I was sick). On top of that, he doesn't know how to lose as he is still undefeated.

That said, after my victory on the 8th, I will have shown that I can overcome my toughest style match up. As we know, he's quicker than Haye and moves around the ring faster. So after seeing how I catch him, it will leave little doubt that I can catch anyone else.

 

Also has dropped rounds to some very mediocre fighters.

He'll likely be intimidated by Ding's power and Flores doesn't have the kind of power like Nwodo had, or Davis even, to make Ding think twice about keeping the pressure up.

I think Ding will get him in 5 rounds.

 

im really looking forward to it and think it will a close fight and hopefully my prediction of a flores ud is wrong.

 

Just curious, have you seen his fight with Chris Thomas?

Who do they have you working with to prep for this one in sparring? Did they get you some good partners or what?
