This'll be Smith vs. Aguilar then, apparently promoted to be an eight-rounder.

Chopper Smith keeping his foot on the gas pedal, keeping the contest well in hand...but not really keeping my interest.

Off to make a pourover, because I'm addicted to caffeine.

I'll be sure to devote my full attention by the start of the next bout, though. I want to see what all the fuss is about with this Willy Hutchinson (such that people have told me I'm wrong to be hyping Ali Akhmedov as the light heavyweight prospect to watch)

This is unfortunate that I find myself rooting for the Iranian. I’m glad my mom doesn’t know

    Round 1

Hutchinson is scoring long lead left hooks on the body. Hutchinson very relaxed in there, letting the bangs of his coiffure lap gently against either side of his forehead as he sways in place on the outside, legs bent trapezoidally with his knees outward and feet firmly planted shoulder width apart. Mirhoseini is jabbing in unsuccessfully, cautious to a fault on the outside and over-committing when he does lunge forward, out of position, countered by left & right jabs as Hutchinson bows out his knees to sag in place and casually shuffles his feet to switch his stance, landing with equal ease either as righty or southpaw.

    10-9 Hutchinson

Reminds me of my girlfriend's ethnic makeup, Persian dad and Sicilian mom. She's constantly switching allegiances between which side of the family actually knew how to cook.

    Round 2

Hutchinson is jabbing comfortably from either stance, standing up tall now. Hutchinson working some combos off the jab, peppering the outer edge of Mirhoseini's upraised forearms, as he's now entirely cowed and discouraged from unloading any offense aside from the odd get-off-me jab. Hutchinson leaning deeply to either side to put leverage on some sweeping body shots beneath the elbows, causing the guard to lower, allowing Hutchinson to land hooks up top, which in turn rock Mirhoseini. Flipped up backhanded right jab off the hip by Hutchinson staggers Mirhoseini and sends his chin pointing skyward, blinking. Thorough outclassing here, time for a punctuation mark before this verges into "professional sparring" territory.

    10-9 Hutchinson

    20-18 Hutchinson

Well that’s actually a hard choice since Sicilians can actually cook. My mom is Scottish so if I were to pledge allegiance over food, Scotland would have absolutely no prayer :meparto:

    Hutchinson TKO. Meh. I'm unconvinced.
